On the banks of the beautiful Etowah River at Boling Park in Canton, Georgia. 20 miles north of Atlanta. Take I-75N to I-575N to Exit 16 in Canton and follow the festival signs. |

To celebrate all Mothers, as women; and to give thanks and remembrance by celebrating the greatest Mother of all, The Earth - while at the same time fostering new relationships and breaking down the old stereotypical myths of a unique and yet diverse group of people, the American Indian. |

Watch the beautiful and colorful inter-tribal dances performed by American Indians from across the USA, Mexico and Canada. Listen to native storytellers, walk through a living tipi village and meet Little Big Mountain as he gives you a hands on living history program representing the Plains Indian culture. Try your hand at the art of fire-by-friction from anthro-tecnician Russell Cutts. Learn weapons, flint napping, tipi construction, how to cook within the earth, hide- tanning and more by visiting our primitive skills demonstrators. Shop for the perfect Mother’s Day gift from over 50 artists and crafters while you enjoy native foods such as buffalo burgers, Indian fry-bread, gator tail, Indian tacos, roasted corn and Pima wraps. Join in with the magnificent Azteca dance company or learn to speak the Cherokee language from Nammy award winning flutist, Tommy Wildcat. Watch the spectacular warriors on horseback as they combat one another in the traditional Sneak-up dance and meet “Thunder” 2,200 pounds of romping stomping 100% full blooded buffalo (Bison) who is ridden daily while stressing the protection of these beautiful animals. Introducing “Tank” our new five month old bull bison who will be requesting signatures for the Buffalo Field Campaign. All this plus photo opportunities with your favorite Indian or animal stars. Come participate in Native American dance games while making unique memories for the family. Everyone is welcome and don’t forget to bring the camera, some wampum for arts & crafts, a lawn chair, and of course, Mom. No alcohol, drug’s, or coolers allowed. Adults are $9.00 all day, and children are $5.00 all day and kids 5 years and under are FREE. Tickets are available at the gate. This is a Rain or Shine event. |
